OUR FAMILY IS GROWING!

Hahahaha! Not OUR family, but my SIDE of the family. My sister got married almost two weeks ago and I have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself for stealing a bunch of her facebook pics and posting to my blog so soon afterward. Normally it would take me until something like their eighth anniversary to post, seeing as how I have yet to post pictures of Keo's first birthday and he's nearly closer to his second than his first...and poor Kai/Jo, who even knows what they look like anymore. That said, I am about to purchase THE best Father's Day gift I have ever given my husband and I will greatly benefit from said purchase so maybe I will eventually get on the ball with posting pics of my adorable babies-who-are-practically-on-the-brink-of-adolescence. Ahem, back to the matter at hand...

So my big sis got married. I cannot adequately explain how much she deserves to be happy. And I think my new big bro ("big" cause he's a freaking vertical giant compared to pretty much the rest of my family - he towers over even me, the tallest until now; he's actually my little brother because I am a touch older than him) is a really nice guy. He, in her words, "treats me like I'm made of glass," which is what you wanna hear in relation to your wimpy big sis. Just kidding. I say often that she is the strongest woman I've ever known and I mean it. Anyway, back to J. I see my other "little" brother like, once a year, and he's so dang much smarter than me that I wouldn't dream of teasing him. J. is also way smarter than me, but I have a feeling that when we get to know each other better, we'll have a pretty good time. I already have jokes prepared about his air of austerity that I don't quite believe. And I'm sure he's heard enough from my sister to have fodder for a good decade or so.

Tangents. As usual. So, pictures. Oh, and all the pics were taken by the two dads.

My sweet sis and new brother! There's the austerity thing I'm not quite buying...

I also got TWO new nephews! They're adorable. Girls are greatly outnumbered in our family...
We had lilacs everywhere, the house smelled SOOOO wonderful.
I just love this picture. I guess the boys were supposed to be kissing her cheeks and top of her head. So cute.
Us guys. I used to firmly believe that we would someday live right next door to each other. Not gonna happen, but I think we would have so much fun...
And the best for last! Is he not the cutest little guy with gigantic ears you've ever seen???? I'm gonna quickly (ha! quickly. whatever.) explain Keo and oranges. He can eat them whole. I have to watch him very carefully or be sure to only give him peeled oranges, or the peels will be eaten right along with the flesh. He gets ticked when I take the peel away from him, so I have to be sure and have another wedge ready for him right away. He doesn't even act like it's bitter! When he sees an orange, he HAS to have it RIGHT THEN. He'll yell at me and pull on my leg while I'm cutting it up, 'cause I'm just not going fast enough. I could seriously just give it to him whole and he'd be perfectly content. Weird kid. Man, I love him!
