COURTNEY!!!!!!!!!!!! You will especially appreciate this! Remember the whole VIP thing? Where the VIPs are so much more important than the students???? The thousands of students who come from different countries, who make our university incredibly interesting and diverse in spite of what one would think? Not so important? No? Oh, we're doing this for some honorary consul in the city who never has anything to do with us, let alone the international students he/she represents here in this state? Oh, I didn't know. 'Cause that doesn't make any SENSE! One would logically think that we are celebrating our students more than anyone else. The whole International-Education-Is-A-Bridge-Linking-Cultures-Religions-Heritage thing is actually a very nice idea. Until networking gets in the way. Whoever invented networking is not my favorite person right now. Even though I got my job soley because I knew someone who knew someone...irrelevant.
