Day off with the boys...

i got to spend the other day with the boys since they had their "fall break." did we have that as kids? i don't think so, but maybe i just don't remember it...anyway we had a lot of fun up the canyon looking at the beautiful fall colors. i LOVE the autumn here, well, really anywhere. it's just a lovely season, you know? crisp and cool, with crunchy leaves to jump on...

keo eating yummy rocks and dirt. why yes, i do deserve the Mother of the Year award, now that you mention it.

by the stream. they just begged me to dip their feet in it. i kept saying no, it's too cold. then when i finally gave in, they lasted like, one toe, before they jumped out. "it's too cold!"

jo was quite bothered by this worm. when i got a close look at it, i was too. it wasn't gonna make it much longer, if it was even still with us at all...but hey it's a worm, so jo had to pick it up and show mom. that's what boys do.

mom, will you please take the stupid picture already? there's stuff to climb here!
