We had a fantastic weekend! Friday T. was camping with the YM so the boys & I just hung out playing legos. We tried to make batman brownies too. (Don't use egg starts & applesauce as a replacement for eggs & oil in brownies - it only works in cakes - really they were pretty gross.) But with the bat-signal on them and a glass of milk, the boys were very happy.
Saturday we went to the Bean Museum on campus to see the bugs & animals. Jo has been so into bugs these days, he just loves roly polies, butterflies, daddy long legs, even slugs. So he was really looking forward to the museum all week. We had so much fun and we learned a lot. Pictures will eventually be posted... That night I had a baby shower to attend so T. stayed with the boys. When I got home they were playing four-square, remember that game? They were having so much fun! I joined in and lost almost every round-the boys loved that!
Sunday Kai was just so happy to finally be seven! They sang to him in Primary of course and he got to wear his little crown. He LOVED being the birthday boy. He got Legos, of course, and lots of them. He worked all day on his Indiana Jones set and was so proud of the finished product. 550 pieces!! He played with his brother & cousins all evening and had so much fun. We went to the park to try out this awesome rocket that M. & K. gave him, we looked for butterflies, blew bubbles, just had a great night. When we put him to bed, he didn't even last through the prayer; he was exhausted. And so happy. Again, pictures will post someday...
